COVID-19: 584 cases reported from hospitals
The Escambia County Healthcare Authority announced today there have been confirmed COVID-19 cases reported out of its two hospitals.
The latest update is an increase of 41 cases since July 28.
According to ECHA’s biweekly update, there have been 423 confirmed cases reported at Atmore Community Hospital, and 161 cases at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital.
At ACH, 1,913 specimens have been collected with 1,388 negative results, 84 pending and 18 inconclusive.
At DWM, 853 specimens have been collected with 636 negative results, 45 pending and 11 inconclusive.
The ECHA updates these numbers twice a week to reflect current case numbers. Due to the timing of the information, the numbers may differ from the numbers on the Alabama Department of Public Health’s website.
According to the ADPH, there have been 909 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported with 5,163 specimens collected and 15 confirmed deaths in Escambia County, Ala.
