With the setting sun as a backdrop, cars and trucks pulled into spaces at Market Park to enjoy an outdoor concert.

Connie Baggett, director of program management for the city of Brewton, said she was pleased with the attendance and the performances by musicians Saturday night.

“We had a good turnoput for the evening,” Baggett said. “The audience stayed safe in their own vehicles. We had about 25 vehiclesthere.”

Along with the live performances, those who attended the event were able to get the most from the music even if they did stay in their cars.

“There were some staying inside that listened to the FM signal playing the sound,” Baggett said. “Others chose tailgating and it all went very well.”

Baggett said the reception by those attending was good and another concert is being planned for Saturday night again this week.

The Market Parket will be the site again this week beginning at 7 p.m.

Performers for this week will be Emily Stuckey and Karl Langley.

Baggett encouraged those who plan to attend to bring snacks and drinks to enjoy the evening as the musical performances are presented.

“We are looking forward to Saturday night,” Baggett said. “We hope to have a great time.”
