In a Wednesday press conference, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey announced the extension of the state’s “Safer at Home” order in place across the state.

Under the new guidelines, single visitors will be allowed for those confined to hospitals and nursing homes.

Masks will still be required in schools and colleges for students in second grade and above. They will also be required in public when interacting within six feet of another person. In venues such as arcades, theaters and bowling allies, masks will be required with additional rules of social-distancing and sanitation guidelines in place.

See below for additional information on the extended mandate.
