In an effort to create a way for children to get their letters to Santa for 2020, The Brewton Standard has created a way to help ease the stress of mailing or delivering those letters.

“We wanted to have a way for children to get their letters to Santa without having to worry about finding an envelope or a stamp,” said Lisa Tindell, editor. “This way, parents have the ability to sit with their children and type out a letter and get it delivered immediately. Once we receive the letters we will, of course, make sure they are available for Santa to review.”

For those who like to deliver or mail their letters to Santa, The Brewton Standard can still be a part of that process.

“We are happy to accept any letter meant for Santa and help get it to him in time for Christmas,” Tindell said. “We will be taking hand-written letters, letters with pictures or any kind of letter that will let Santa know what children are hoping for this Christmas.”

Tindell said that all letters received through any method, will appear in print in the Wednesday, December 23 edition in a special section of the paper.

To deliver letters for publication and delivery to Santa, drop them off at the offices of The Brewton Standard at 407 St. Nicholas Avenue in Brewton; or if you want to mail them the old fashioned way, the address is P.O. Box 887, Brewton, AL  36427. Be sure to mark your envelopes clearly with “Letter to Santa” if using either of those methods.

To use the email method of delivering your letter, simply send them to brewtonletterstosanta@gmail.com.

“We look forward to receive letters to Santa no matter which method children choose to use,” Tindell said. “The letters not only light up Santa’s life, they light up the lives of all of us who read the letters.”
