Mr. James Franklin Dewberry, Jr., 71, of Biloxi, Miss., passed away Monday November 23, 2020 in a Biloxi Veterans Hospital after a brief illness.
He was a native of Sylacouga, a long time resident of Brewton before moving to Biloxi, Miss. Mr. Dewberry attended O’Neil Road Church of Christ in Gulfport, Miss., attended W.S. Neal High School, served as a Army Medic in Vietnam and was attached to a Green Beret Unit, and was a retired brick mason from the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Evans Dewberry of Milton, Fla., two daughters, Angela Dewberry (Corky) Kratt of Woodlands, Texas, and Wendy Dewberry (Jon) Davidson of Brewton; one brother, Donald Dewberry of Mississippi; two sisters, Judy Gentle of Washington state, and Marilyn Stickels of Nebraska; six grandchildren, JJ Davidson, Kevin Kratt, Kyle Kratt, Jenny Davidson, Erin Davidson, Cooper Davidson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Frank Sr. and Bess Hughes Dewberry, his step-mother, Dot Dewberry; and a brother, Ricky Odom.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at may Creek Cemetery with interment to follow immediately.
Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
