A Thursday matchup between the T.R. Miller Tigers and Andalusia Bulldogs was a low-scoring game, but one the Tigers have now put in the win column.
According to TRM Coach Kevin Madden, both teams were strong on the pitcher’s mound but the work of Tiger Blake Jernigan led the team to a 2-1 win over the Bulldogs. Jernigan allowed only two hits in his time on the mound pitching all seven innings of the game.
In his pitching, Jernigan allowed one run on the two hits and struck out ten players on the day.
Chip Morgan pitched for Andalusia and surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings. He pitched strike outs for nine players and walked one. Aksh Patel threw two inning for the Bulldogs.
For the Tigers, hitters on the day were Jernigan, Kyle Blevins, Miller Hart and Wyn Brittain with one hit each.
