DeFrancisco named chief resident at USA

Dr. Grant DeFrancisco, son of Dr. Roberty and Sandy DeFrancisco, has been appointed chief resident by the faculty at the University of South Alabama Hospitals.

A 2009 T.R. Miller High School graduate, Dr. DeFrancisco received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Alabama in 2013. He received his medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017.

After completing a general medicine internship at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Blacksburg, Va., in 2018, DeFrancisco has been a resident at the University of South Alabama Hospitals.

He assumes his duties as Chief Resident in July 2021.
