It’s rodeo time and the Greater Brewton Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for an event in Brewton.

The event is set for Oct. 8 and 9 at the Brewton Municipal Arena located at O’Bannon Park. Gates will open at 6 p.m. each night.

Judy Crane, executive director for the Chamber, said the event is something to be excited about this year.

“We are excited to be able to have the rodeo this year,” Crane said. “We were not able to do our events last year like this and we are glad to be able to have this again.”

Crane said those interested in attending the rodeo should consider purchasing tickets before opening day.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the gate for adults. Tickets for children 12 and under are $5.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.brewtonchamber.com/store or at the Chamber offices inside Brewton City Hall.

This year’s event will feature Mutton Bustin’, a Mechanical Bull, children’s activities and concessions.

The PCA Rodeo will feature $4,000 in prize money for event participants. For more details, contact the Chamber at 867-3224.
