TRM queen and court selected, homecoming set Friday
A special day of celebration and is set at T.R. Miller High School Friday for Homecoming 2021.
According to Lisa Atkinson, teacher and homecoming advisor, the day-long activities will get underway at 8 a.m.
“Alumni groups should bring floats tot he front of the high school in preparation for the parade beginning at 8 a.m.,” Atkinson said. “No floats will be allowed on campus prior to then and should be in place by 10 a.m.”
Atkinson said a special gathering spot for alumni will be set up and time allotted for float decorating.
“Alumni can decorate their floats in the circle drive on campus between 10 a.m. and noon,” Atkinson said. “A special tailgate-like area will be set up at the practice field for alumni. Tents and bag chairs are welcome for the gathering spot.”
The pep rally will be held beginning at noon at the Brewton Municipal Stadium with a parade winding through downtown beginning at 2 p.m.
Pre-game ceremonies will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature the presentation of the homecoming court and the crowning of the Homecoming Queen. Alumni classes will also be recognized during the ceremonies.
T.R. Miller will be hosting the Excel High School team with kick off set for 7 p.m.
