Even though a flood at O’Bannon Park meant the Chamber of Commerce-sponsored rodeo wouldn’t happen last weekend, organizers say the event will be happening.

Judy Crane, executive director for the Chamber said a rescheduled date of Nov. 5 and 6 has been put into place for this year’s event. Gates will open at 6 p.m. both nights.

“We had no choice but to cancel when the arena was flooded last week,” Crane said. “We contacted our contract who helps us with coordinating with the rodeo participants and animals for the event and he was able to get with his people and work out a couple of dates for the event. He gave us some options and these dates seemed to be the best choice for us. We are glad to be able to reschedule this event and we want people to come out and have a good time.”

Crane said that anyone who purchased tickets for the original date may use those tickets for the new dates.

Tickets are available for purchase on-line through the Chamber website. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under through Thursday, Nov. 4. Visit brewtonchamber.com and visit the store tab on the site to purchase tickets.
