The T.R. Miller High School Athletic Club is planning to bring a little fun, a few thrills and lots of excitement to the city beginning this weekend.
Club President Monte McGougin said the annual fund raising carnival will be in town for a week with something for everyone.
“The dates will be from Tuesday, April 5 through Saturday, April 9,” McGougin said.
The annual event has been a welcome activity for children of all ages for many years presented by the Athletic Club. The event will help to raise funds for athletic and sporting groups at the school.
The James Gang will once again set up in the parking lot on Douglas Avenue near Tractor Supply offering rides, games and plenty of food typically found at carnivals and fairs.
Hours for the event will be from 6 p.m. until Tuesday through Friday with a 3 p.m. opening on Saturday to allow more time for entertainment.
For those looking to get as much enjoyment as possible from the event. a $20 armband will be available every day of carnival opening and will allow unlimited rides throughout the site.
Carnival employees will be taking extra steps to maintain health safety during this annual event.
