A Monday match-up between the T.R. Miller Tigers and the Excel Panthers would be an interesting battle, but the Tigers would come out victorious by a score of 3-1.
In the game, the Tiger pitchers were able to hold the Excel team to just four hits on the day.
Sam Kelley earned the win for the Tigers surrendering only one run on four hits over a six-inning workout with just one walk. Jaxson Flores would take the mound in relief and go for an inning. During his time on the mound, Flores recorded the last three outs in the game to earn the save for the Tigers.
Working for the Panthers, Eason Pipkin would take the loss for Excel. He would last for five innings on the mount allowing seven hits, three runs, and one walk while striking out five batters.
In the battle, the Tigers would rack up nine hits with Kannan Carter and Miller Hart notching multiple hits for the Tigers. Both players had two hits each to lead the team.
