After an absence at the 2021 July 4th celebration in East Brewton, the city’s council approved a donation for the event and welcomed the return of the popular part of the annual celebration.
“We have a lot of people who enjoy the bingo games,” Mayor Terry Clark said Monday. “We are happy to be able to bring that back to our July 4th activities.”
In addition to the return of Bingo, Clark said the Spades Tourney will also be returning to the event line up.
“The spades tournament will be at 9 a.m. with bingo at 1 p.m.,” Clark said. “Those events will be held at the Senior Citizens Sail Center on Williamson Street.”
Plans for the horseshoe tournament are also being made along with lining up entertainment for the afternoon and early evening.
High Horse will once again be the main performers for the event kicking off their show at 8 p.m.
The annual Duck Race will be at 6 p.m. with ducks on sale now at city hall.
Fireworks are planned for a 9:30 p.m. show.
