For those who want to ring in the new year, a special fireworks display is being planned by the City of Brewton.
At midnight on Saturday, Dec. 31, workers and pyrotechnic experts will set off a fireworks display from the banks of Burnt Corn Creek with a great view from and around Jennings Park in historic downtown Brewton.
No other activities are planned for the evening.
