In an effort to help understand money in a “real world” setting, the Alabama Extension Service will be hosting a special event in Brewton.
Your Money, Your Life will be presented on Tuesday, March 28 at First United Methodist Church in Brewton. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner followed by the program presentation at 6 p.m.
Presenters will be discussing ways for individuals to understand the financial responsibilities of earning a living in the real world. Participants in this engaging and fun simulation will be given a salary, pay taxes and see how far their money will go as they choose housing, transportation, groceries, and more.
The Your Money, Your Life program prosents the complexities of financial responsiblity in a way that makes more decisions approachable. It encourages participants to think critically and how each decision might affect them. This program offers a financial reality check for life and career decisions.
If you are interested in helping people in your area with the following:

• Learn about budgeting and setting financial priorities;
• Recognize the important relationship of career selection and education to future earnings;

• Be prepared for those moments when “life happens.”
