Jennings Park will be filled with activities and laughter Saturday as the Brewton Entertainment and Events Committee (EEC) kicks off their annual Friends and Family Day.
The EEC is putting the final touches in place preparing for a great day in the park.
On Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. in Jennings Park, the group will be bringing plenty of opportunity for fun, activities, contests and laughter for the annual gathering near downtown Brewton.
The event will be filled with activities, food, refreshment and a chance at great prizes.
Director of Programs for the City of Brewton, Connie Baggett, said the event will be packed with fun for the entire family.
“It will be a great day,” Baggett said. “There will be a video game truck, Cornhole tournament, watermelon contest, coin search, bingo and talent show. There will be waterslides too.”
The 2023 edition of the event will be the third year for Friends and Family Day organized by members of the EEC for the City of Brewton.
Food will also be available throughout the day with cooking performed by members of the Brewton Fire Department.
Cash prizes will be up for grabs during the watermleon contest, coin serve and bingo games during the day.
All contests, ctivities and refreshments will be free of charge.
