E&S Automotive, located at 85 Industrial Park Drive just off Hwy. 31 South, has opened for business and are ready to serve the community’s automotive repair needs.
James Madewell, and his daughter, Savannah, are building their business with many years of automobile experience.
“I have been doing work in automotive repairs since 1996,” James said. “I managed a dealership in Jackson for a while, but it was just too far to drive. That’s when I considered opening my own business.”
Madewell made the decision and hired his daughter, Savannah, to help along the way.
“She has worked we me before and has been to college for business,” James said. “She takes care of the office work for the business.”
Savannah said working with her father day in and day out is nothing new for her.
“We’ve worked side-by-side before,” Savannah said. “Some people might not be able to work that close with relatives, but this is just something we’re used to doing.”
James said one of the goals of his business is to help people out during trying times.
“We’re not here to make a killing, we’re just here to make a living,” James said. “It’s about quality work at a reasonable price. It’s getting to a point whether or not people can afford to get something repaired. We have adjusted our labor rate to make it so that we can work with people on their repairs. I just want to help people out and keep our labor rates low so that we can do that.”
The business is licensed and insured offering a sense of safety when seeking repairs at the Brewton business.
Madewell’s wife, Joyce, is also a part of the automotive industry by serving as manager at a local auto parts business.
The business is located just behind Enterprise Rental Car facility on Hwy. 31 South/South Boulevard in Brewton.
