W.S. Neal falls on the road to Thomasville

The W.S. Neal Eagles traveled to Thomasville to take on the Tigers in a region game.

The first half was a back-and-forth battle for the ball with Thomasville making good on four possessions while the Eagles could only make two possessions work.

Touchdowns for the Eagles were both made by Jalen Likely on 80-yard and 16-yard runs. The PATs were missed by the Eagle kicker.

At the half, the Thomasville Tigers would lead the Eagles, 28-12.

The third quarter wouldn’t see any scoring from either team as the battle on the field continue.

Thomasville would score with just over 7 minutes to play. The PAT was no good but the Tigers widened their lead, 34-20 over the Eagles.

As the clock worked against the Eagles but their hard work paid off with a run into the end zone. The two-point conversion is successful giving the Eagles 28 points to Thomasville’s 34.

The back-and-forth game shows that the teams were a good match in play. The Eagles had a shot at tying the game with just minutes left to play, but would have to turn the ball over on downs to the Tigers. Thomasville takes a knee to end the game.
