Mrs. Helen Kate Madden Wilson, 91, of Lowery Landing Road in Brewton, passed away Monday October 30, 2023 after a brief illness.

She was a native of Brewton, and a former resident of Mobile, before moving back to Brewton. Mrs. Wilson spent most of her adult life working as a at home patient caregiver and in nursing homes in Mobile and Brewton,  when she moved back. Helen was a sweet, kind, and was always willing to lend a hand. She was a wonderful cook, she loved her family, her flowers, and was strong in her faith.

She is survived by two sons, Larry (Carol) Madden of Brewton and Dwyane (Jenny) Jackson of Blue Springs, Mo.; two daughters, Barbara (Jimmy) Green of Wetumpka and Helen Kathie Rutland of Theodore; one sister, Peggy McCormick of Brewton; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Shirley Ray Jackson and Shelba Dale Weaver; a brother, Mose Madden; and a granddaughter, Serena Dale Green.

Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon November 2, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Brewton.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday afternoon November 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. James Peacock officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery in Brewton.
