East Brewton PD makes multiple arrests

The East Brewton Police Department had a busy couple of weeks when investiga-tions lead to the arrests of three men.
According to EBPD reports, a narcotics investigation ended in an arrest on April 30 when they arrest John Staley.
Staley was round to be in possession of four large bags of a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana. The bags weighed nearly two pounds. The suspect was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana at the time of the arrest. He was transported to the Escambia County Jail for booking. Staley was also being held on warrants for Covington County.
On May 1, the EBPD would again act on information uncovered in a narcotics investigation that resulted in the arrest of Christopher Ryczywot.
The Brewton resident was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and was transported to the Escambia County Jail where he was booked on the charges.
A third arrest came on May 10 when officers with East Brewton Police Department acted on a tip that ended with the arrest of Mark Aaron Nicholson.
Nicholson was wanted on four high-priority felony warrants out of Bay County, Fla. Officers made contact with the suspect at a residence on Dailey Street in East Brewton and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Escambia County Jail to await extradition to Bay County, Fla., to face charges there with local law enforcement.
