Both the Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers and Tigers basketball teams picked up their second straight wins of the season Tuesday night at Jay.
The Brewton Middle School girls team improved to 2-1 as they cruised to a 28-10 win over the Lady Royals of Jay Middle School.
The Brewton Middle School boys team improved to 2-1 as they downed Jay 35-14.
Brewton is scheduled to be back in action Thursday at McCall at 6 p.m.
Both BMS teams will be back in action at home Thursday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m. against Andalusia.

BMS girls 28, Jay 10
T.R. Miller High School Lady Tiger basketball coach Ron Jackson has always prided his career on the play of his defense. As Jackson has also taken over the coaching of the Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers, the play of his defense has not changed—and it was in full effect Tuesday in Jay as his team took down the Lady Royals 28-10.
The Lady Tigers of BMS held Jay scoreless in the first quarter and to only two total points in the first half to help get the 18-point win.
BMS led Jay 8-0 after one quarter and 8-2 at the half after being outscored 2-0 by Jay in the second quarter.
In the third quarter, Brewton outscored Jay 13-2 to increase their lead to 21-4 heading into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Brewton ended the game with a 7-6 advantage in the quarter to get the win by 18 points.
Morgan Longmire and Malaysia Campbell led the Lady Tigers in the win with eight points each. Karmaiya Jenkins added six points, Kayla Floyd had three points, and Jaden Miller had two points in the win.
Kyla Bell added one point in the win for Brewton.

BMS boys 35, Jay 14
A 15-1 advantage in the first quarter for the Brewton Middle School boys basketball team helped pave the way for the Tigers second win of the season as they defeated the Royals of Jay by 21 points, 35-14.
Brewton led Jay 15-1 after one quarter of play and increased their lead to 26-8 at the half after outscoring Jay 11-7 in the second quarter.
In the second half, the scoring advantages in the third and fourth quarters were a lot closer for the Tigers, but they were still able to take the big.
In the third quarter, Brewton edged out Jay 5-3 to take a 31-11 lead into the fourth. In the fourth, Brewton edged out the Royals by a score of 4-3.
In the win for the Tigers, Hayden Atkinson led Brewton with 11 points and Stokes Jennings also finished in double figures with 10 points.
Joshua Jolly added eight points while Demonte Jenkins had four points. Michael Campbell had two points in the win.
