WSN baseball moves to 3-0 with win over Clarke County Monday

W.S. Neal’s baseball team stayed undefeated this season as they captured a 7-1 win over Clarke County Monday night in Grove Hill. The Eagles of East Brewton improved to 3-0 this season with the six-run win.
In the win Monday, W.S. Neal held Clarke County to one lone run in the fifth inning while plating two runs in the first inning and one each in the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings.
W.S. Neal had seven hits in the win while Clarke County had three.
Lane Chavers, Jared Cooper, Dalton Shell and Tyler Joyner all pitched in the win for the Eagles. Chavers and Cooper went two innings each to start the game while Shell went one and Joyner went the final two innings.
No other game information or stats was known as of press time.
W.S. Neal will be back in action Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the 2014 Escambia County Tournament. The tournament will be played at T.R. Miller High School in Brewton.
