Neal shuts out Monroe, 15-0

Eagle pitchers hold Monroe to one hit

The W.S. Neal Eagles shutout Monroe County on Friday 15-0.

The Eagles had 10 hits in the win. Weston Riddle, Hunter Revel, Kristian Taylor and P.J. Lovelace each had multiple hits. Taylor had a double and 3 RBIs and two runs scored. Lovelace had 3 RBIs.

Jacobey Hawthorne picked up the win on the mound. He pitched three innings, gave up one hit, no walks, and struck out six batters. Relief pitchers Aaron Bosarge and Revel combined for two innings, with Bosarge striking out two batters and Revel three.

Kennedy Banks got the only hit for Monroe.

Banks suffered the loss on the mound, allowing 10 runs, nine earned, on eight hits and four walks. He had one strikeout.

The win improves the Eagles to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in area play.
