O’Keane pitches no hitter for Braves

Braves pitcher Alex O’Keane tossed a no hitter in game two of a doubleheader Tuesday in East Brewton in recent Brewton Babe Ruth to help guide his team to a 15-0 win over the Padres.
The Padres and Braves split the doubleheader as the Padres won game one 5-4. The split between the two teams improved the Padres record to 4-2 and the Braves record to 3-3.

Padres 5, Braves 4
The Padres rallied with five runs in the final two innings to down the Braves 5-4 in game one Tuesday in East Brewton.
The Braves led 2-0 after two innings after plating two runs in the bottom of the second. From there, the Padres added three in the fifth to take a 3-2 lead.
After the Braves tied the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the fifth, the Padres outscored the Braves 2-1 in the sixth inning to get the win by one.
At the plate for the Padres, Lane Chavers was 1-for-2 with a double and Brooks Brown was 1-for-3. Rob Jones was 1-for-2 and Justin Sessions and Christian Alvarez had one RBI each.
Sessions and Chavers pitched in the win with Sessions going the first four innings and allowing two hits, two earned runs, walked three and struck out six.
Chavers went the final two innings and allowed two hits, two earned runs, walked two and struck out one.
For the Braves, Robin Swift was 2-for-2 with a double and one RBI and Austin Holmes was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Christian Mancil was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Hunter Harp, Todd Mayo and Jo Jo Booker pitched in the loss with Mayo being credited with loss.
The trio allowed three hits in five innings, five runs, four earned, walked five and struck out six.

Braves 15, Padres 0
O’Keane allowed no hits walked three and struck out 14 in a 15-0 win over the Padres in game two.
The Braves scored one run in the fourth, five in the sixth and nine in the seventh to get the big win.
At the plate for the Braves, Keaton Parker was 1-for-4 and Miles Powell was 1-for-3. Harp was 1-for-3 with a double and four RBIs while Swift was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Malcolm Hawthorne was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Booker was 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
Mayo was 1-for-3 with one RBI and O’Keane had two RBIs in the win.
Mancil was 1-for-3 with one RBI and River Johnson went 1-for-3.
Chris Jones took the loss on the mound for the Padres going 6 1/3 innings and allowed six hits, 10 runs, four earned, walked five and struck out seven.
Hunter Colley and Rob Jones also pitched in the loss and surrendered five hits, five runs, two earned, walked one and struck out none.
