Brewton mom arrested after police say she handed out gift bags with marijuana at elementary school Christmas party; held on $300,000 bond.

A Brewton woman was arrested and charged with chemical endangerment and other drug charges after a Brewton Elementary School parent found marijuana in a candy bag supplied by the woman.

Karima Frasier, 26, was arrested by Brewton Police following an investigation into the incident.

Frasier was taken into custody on Dec. 19 and booked into the Escambia County Detention Center on charges of Selling/Furnishing a Controlled Substance to Minor and chemical endangerment.

According to reports, Frasier brought gift bags that contained marijuana to the school Christmas party. After a parent discovered the substance in the bag, the school quickly made contact with Brewton Police who conducted an investigation and made the subsequent arrest of Frasier.

As of press time Tuesday, Frasier remained behind bars on a $300,000 bond.

No other details surrounding the investigation have been released.
