Nancy Christine Ryals Gandy

Mrs. Nancy Christine Ryals Gandy, 88, of Lenox died Thursday, May 12, 2011, in an Evergreen nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Lenox. Mrs. Gandy was a member of

Hartwood Methodist Church, a board member of Lenox Community Center since 1982 and a poll worker. She owned and operated Lenox Beauty Shop.

Survivors include two sons, Charles (Karen) Gandy of Lenox and Chester (Naomi) Gandy of Leesburg; three sisters, Ann (David Rob) Barnes of Pensacola, Fla., Marie (Billy G.) Dawson of Pace, Fla., and Jane (Leotis) Garrett of Gantt; two granddaughters, Amy (Christopher) Evans and Melissa (Daniel) Crews; one step-grandson, Lee (Michelle) Richmond; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Gandy, and a brother, Albert L. Ryals.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at

Ramah Primitive Baptist Church in Lenox.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Smith and

the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating. Interment will follow in Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lenox under the direction of Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
