Mr. Floyd Russell Scott Sr., 81, of Byrd Street, died Friday May 10, 2013 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and life long resident of Brewton. He was a member of the East Brewton First United Methodist, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and a retired pipe fitter from Container Corporation of America with 29 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Albertson Scott of Brewton; three sons, Russell (Stephanie) Scott Jr. of Brewton, and Frank (Ruth) Scott and Billy (Lee Ann) Scott, both of  Prattville; a daughter, Kathy Scott (Mike) Henderson of Pace, Fla.; a brother, David Aubrey Scott of Pensacola; nine grandchildren, Jonathan (Nashisha) Henderson, Elizabeth Henderson, Sarah Henderson, Tiffany (Lee) Knowles, Jacob (Crystal) Scott, Charlie Scott, Shane Scott, Layton Scott and Abbie Smith; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, at 1 p.m. at East Brewton Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve McCoy, the Rev. Mike Henderson, and Navy Chaplain Jonathan Henderson officiating.Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
