Betty Jean Massingill Foster Driskell

Betty Jean Massingill Foster Driskell, 84, of Birch Street in Brewton died Friday, June 14, 2013 in a Florala nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County and was a member of the Brewton First Baptist Church, She was a former draw twist operator at Chemstrand with 16 years of service and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Warren “Buck” Foster and James Allen Driskell; a son, Ronald Foster and a sister, Minnie Mae Dolihite.

She is survived by two daughters, Dianne (Don) O’Bannon of Brewton and Joyce (Brian) Browder of Brewton; one brother, Clifford H. Massingill of Robertsdale; a sister, Carolyn Overstreet of Mobile; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins.
Graveside services were held Monday, June 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Weaver Cemetery with the Rev. John Finklea officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
