Mr. Edsel Ford Pitts Sr., 72, died at his residence Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 after an extended illness. He was a native of Falco and a resident of Brewton since 1975. He was of the Baptist faith and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a retired heavy equipment operator in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Morris Pitts of Brewton; three sons, Eddie Pitts, Steve Pitts and Frank Pitts, all of Fla.; two daughters, Sandra Jett and Shelia Henry, both of Brewton; one brother, Clinton Pitts of Milton; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Collins officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
