The T.R. Miller Tigers felt the sting of defeat when they lost a sizable lead and ultimately the game this past Friday night against Andalusia. However, Miller head coach Jamie Riggs said his team is a work in progress and expects the pieces of the puzzle to fall into place soon enough.
In assessing his team's performance over the first half of the season, Riggs said he sees both positives and negatives in the Tigers' play.
As the Tigers (3-2, 2-1) prepare to get back in the win column this week, the focus will be on Friday night's opponent, Elba. Riggs said Elba, 3-2 on the season and 1-2 in the region, is a team capable of performing at a very high level.
Riggs outlined several areas the Tigers must focus on as they get ready to clear the first hurdle of the regional stretch run.
Friday night's kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Elba.
