William Harvey Hanks

Mr. William Harvey Hanks, 68, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 at a Mobile hospital. He waa a native of Escambia County, Ala. and a resident of the Goodway community for the past 45 years. He was retired from the Department of Corrections after 23 years of service and attended the Living God Ministry and Enon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hanks of the Goodway community; his son, William Todd Hanks of the Goodway community; two daughters, Bonita Reese of Mobile and Becky Hanks of the Goodway community; a brother, Evon Hanks of Excel; three sisters, Clonette Nall of Excel, Hazel Smith of Bonaire, Ga and Pauline Matthews of Gosport, four grandchilren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 6, at 4 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Mr. Stephen Glover and Bro. Bob Gibson officiating. Burial followed at Enon Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Chris Jay, Brandon Jay, Adam Rowe, Don Crum, Allen Nall and Tommy Guy.
