Ms. Arvie Laurie Kennedy, 80, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002 in a local hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton and was a graduate of Downing-Shoffner School in East Brewton. She was retired from West Gate Village, Inc. and was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and John Thomas Kennedy; two brothers, Malcolm and Clifford Kennedy and a nephew.
She is survived by a sister, Julia Brooks of Brewton; three brothers, George Kennedy of Pensacola, Charles W. Kennedy of N.C. and Burke H. Kennedy of Milton, Fla. a sister-in-law, Vivian Kennedy of Brewton and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. at Weaver Family Cemetery with Rev. Clay Kelly officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.
