Mrs. Catherine Lucille Jernigan Dewberry, 75 of Cantonment, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002 at her daughter's residence in Brewton after an extended illness. She was a native of Elba and a former resident of Brewton for 24 years before moving to Cantonment 31 years ago. She was retired from Monsanto Corporation with 28 years of service and she was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Jernigan of Brewton; two daughters, Joyce Baker and Gail Baker, both of Brewton; one brother, George Miller of Fort Walton Beach; two sisters, Lorene Price of Auburn and Kathleen Harrelson of Phenix City; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Pettis and Rev. Roy Skidmore officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
