To the editor:
We at the Red Cross would like to thank those who participated in blood drives in December.
Mr. Wendell Jacks and Mrs. Denise Turner did a great job of hosting an in-house drive at T.R. Miller Mill Company on Dec. 10. Many thanks to the employees who donated, the merchants who provided gifts and our volunteers for making this a success.
On New Year's Eve, a community drive was held at the Brewton Community Center. Due to the weather we think those who came out as volunteers and donors gave "storm troopers" a whole new meaning. But, they came! Although we would have liked to have had more units we deeply appreciate all for their determination to make a difference in others' lives.
Thanks to the donors, our volunteers, Woodmen of the World for sponsoring the building, Mr. James Ewing, Ray's Cleaners and Jus Do Signs and Graphics.
Together we can save a life!
