Mrs. Synthelia Lindsey Brown, 91, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003 in a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. She was of the Protestant faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles P. Brown and Billy Brown.
She is survived by four sons, Mickey Brown and Joe Brown, both of Brewton, Alfred Brown of East Brewton and Burl Brown of Milton, Fla.; one daughter, Tammy Scurlock of Brewton; two brothers, Dennis Lindsey of Orange Beach, Fla. and Franklin Lindsey of Mobile; one sister, Lelia Brown of Brewton; 14 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 3, at 11 a. m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Pettis and Bro. Al Thomason officiating. Burial followed at Brown Cemetery on Hwy. 29 with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
