Mr. Dan Oscar Nettles, 69, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003 in Union Springs, Ala. after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife, Voncille Nettles of Brewton; his mother, Cora Nettles; a son, Dante Nettles; two daughters, Gwendolyn Byers and Angela Williams; one brother, Henry Nettles; five sisters, Lucy Smith, Morgoree Clark, Lois Ausby, Paula Barlow and Arulene Harrison; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church with Rev. W.J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
