Mr. Carlton Hayward Nye, 62, died Monday, March 3, 2003 in New Orleans, La. He was a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Stockton for many years. He worked as a mechanic technician. He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Nye.
He is survived by his wife, Janice M. Nye of Stockton; two daughters, Kierra Nye of Stockton and Kendra Porter of Mobile; five sons, Elskin Nye, Carlton Nakia Nye, Derrick Nye and Karlos Nye, all of Stockton and Vincent Nye of Mobile; one God daughter, Leilani Williams of Stockton; two sisters, Ethel Baker and Rosetta Crawford; two brothers, Hazel Nye and Ferry Nye and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, March 7, at noon at Triumph Holiness Church in Stockton with Minister Ferry Nye officiating. Burial followed at Robinson Cemetery in Stockton with Turner Funeral Home directing. Friends and family members served as pallbearers.
