Come out and show your support for troops
Saturday, the community will have a unique opportunity to show our local National Guard unit what their service means to us. As Brewton's 1165th MP National Guard unit prepares to leave for Fort Benning, Ga. and then to other undisclosed locations, the community should join with other friends and relatives in showing these soldiers our appreciation and gratitude.
A deployment ceremony for the unit is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday. Who knows when we will get another opportunity like this to show these men that we support them and appreciate them.
In our view, we should all consider attending this special deployment ceremony. Let's give these soldiers the send off they deserve. In addition, let's give them the prayers they and there families will need as they lead the way for freedom and democracy abroad.
