A Brewton man was killed last Saturday night, apparently during a brawl that took place outside an area bar.
Edward L. Bell, 25, of Brewton, was shot and killed during a fight outside Duckie's Bar and Grill, according to Brewton police.
Officers found Bell lying on the ground outside the bar, with gunshots to his chest and lower groin.
According to police, Bell was tranported to D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police received a call from the club advising that a fight involving a minor had broken out inside the club. Police arrived on the scene at 1:30 a.m. and reported that there was no altercation underway, according to Brewton Police Chief David (Mickey) Lovelace.
Nineteen minutes later, at 1:49 a.m., the police department received a second call advising that a group of people were fighting outside the club and that gunshots had been fired.
Police have charged Kenneth Wayne Allen, 30, of East Brewton with capital murder. According to police, Allen was accompanied by Keisha Nichole Harrison and Miker Crook, who were detained pending further investigation.
On Tuesday, Lovelace said that Harrison and Crook have also been charged with capital murder.
The three alleged accomplices had their bond hearings on Monday. According to Lovelace, Allen's bond was set at $75,000 and Crook and Harrison's at $100,000 each.
As of Tuesday, all three remained in custody at the Escambia County Jail.
