Mrs. Tinnie Askew-Leonard, 92, died Friday, March 28, 2003. She was a native of Beatrice and a resident of Brewton. She was preceded in death by nine siblings and her husband, Otis Michael Leonard.
She is survived by a sister, Nellie Askew Diggs of Newville, Ala.; a sister-in-law, Mary S. Askew of Brewton; three children, Johnnie Leonard McVoy of Pensacola and James Aaron Leonard and Lamar Leonard, both of Vacaville, Calif.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 1, at 2 p.m. at Greater Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. William Brown officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker directing.
