Mrs. Carol Rentz Smith, 104, died Monday, May 5, 2003 in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Camden and a long time resident of Bessemer before moving to Brewton seven years ago. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bessemer and a retired school teacher from the Bessemer City School System.
She is survived by a sister, Minnie R. Smith of Brewton and two nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, at 11:30 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer with Rev. Richard Hanna officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
