Mr. Virgie Lee Brock, 93, died Thursday, May 22, 2003 at his residence. He was a native of Pollard and a resident of Escambia County, Ala. while working with several sand and gravel companies. He worked for Campbell Sand and Gravel Company for many years before he retired at age 88. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lucille White Brock.
He is survived by three sons, Jimmy Brock of Brewton, Bobby Brock of Anniston and Michael Brock of Milton, Fla.; two daughters, Audrey Upton of Century and Donna Sue Hudson of Jay, Fla.; a sister, Doris McFadden of Flomaton; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 25, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Bowman officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Justin Hudson, Clint Hudson, Johnathon Brock, Scotty Lowery, Tony Hudson and Nathan Willett. Honorary pallbearers were James Campbell, Charlie Brown and Marvin Lambeth.
