To the editor:
Congratulations on receiving the awards recently for outstanding journalism and our thanks for having this means of getting our message out to the public.
We are grateful to our friends in the education sector for recent blood drives. Mrs. Jeannie Dillashaw and her students at the Escambia-Brewton Vocational Technical Center for a successful drive on April 14, Coach Jim Morrill and his baseball team at JDCC April 28 and Mrs. Selina Kornegay and Mr. Ronnie Hammonds for a great drive at Flomaton High School on May 8. The students there do a great job.
As always, my sincere thanks to our wonderful volunteers and most of all the donors.
We're having a community blood drive on Thursday, June 5 at the Brewton Community Center from 1 to 6 p.m. All blood types are needed and remember that you can save up to three lives with one pint of blood. Please give! Together we can save a life!
