Mrs. Cora Lee Joyner Caro, 86, died Thursday, June 5, 2003 at her residence in East Brewton after an extended illness. She was a native of Conecuh County and a long-time resident of Escambia County. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Chesley Caro of Brewton; two daughters, Mary Myers of Pace, Fla. and Altha Lee Caro of Brewton; four brothers, Clarence Joyner and Howard Joyner, both of East Brewton, John Joyner of Mobile and Enoch Joyner of Brewton; two sisters, Daisy Johnson of East Brewton and Ruby Halford of McKenzie, Ala.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 8, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Parkerson officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
