Four busted in undercover drug operation

Three Brewton men and one woman were arrested on Wednesday, July 2 in Brewton on drug charges.
Robert Cameron, 31, of 2910 Foshee Road; Bobby Randall Wilson, 31, of 702 Shoffner Street; Jean Janelle Hicks, 26, of 316 Alco Drive and Jeremy Cutts, 31, of 307 St. Nicholas Avenue were arrested following an undercover operation that took place within the city limits of Brewton.
According to Lt. Keith Hutchins of the 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force, agents from the Task Force and deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff's office participated in the arrest.
During the undercover operation, the four subjects attempted to purchase prescription medication and powder cocaine from a law enforcement officer. The operation took place at the Brewton Motor Inn.
Cameron was charged with solicitation of a controlled substance and Wilson, Hicks and Cutts were each charged with attempting to commit a controlled substance crime.
The 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force is comprised of the following law enforcement agencies; the Escambia County Sheriff's Dept., Atmore Police Dept., East Brewton Police Dept., Brewton Police Dept., Flomaton Police Dept., Escambia County District Attorney's office and the Escambia County Commission.
The Task Force received 75 percent of its funding from a grant funded by the Bureau of Justice Affairs division of the United States Dept. of Justice and which is administered by the Alabama Dept. of Economic and Community Affairs.
The remainder of the funding is provided by the Escambia County Sheriff's Dept. Atmore Police Dept., Brewton Police Dept. and the Escambia County District Attorney's office.
