Elder Jimmie Lee Baldwin, 55, died suddenly Wednesday, July 9, 2003 in a local hospital. He was a native and life-long resident of Atmore. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church where he served as an associate pastor. He worked for Container Corporation for over 30 years where he was presently working as a supervisor. He served in the U.S. Air Force 1965-1969.
He is survived by his wife, Linda H. Baldwin of Atmore; his mother, Ida Nell Baldwin of Atmore; three sons, Jeffrey Baldwin of Huntsville, Trevor Jermaine and Daniel Baldwin, both of Atmore; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He will lie instate at the church for one hour prior to the services.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16, at 1 p.m. at Faith Tabernacle Holiness Church with Dr. Van McPherson officiating. Burial followed at Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be friends of the family and 1965 classmates of Escambia County Training School in Atmore.
