James Solomon McWilliams Jr. died Tuesday, July 8, 2003. He was a native and life-long resident of Brewton. He worked for many years in the dry cleaning business and later in Pensacola. He had been a member of Baptist Hill Baptist Church for many years.
He is survived by eight children, Elder Robert J. McWilliams, Regena Jenkins, Kathy Farrish, Janice Jones and Gerald McWilliams, all of Brewton; Kenneth McWilliams and Ethel Lewis, both of Jersey City, N.J. and Eric McWilliams of Sacramento, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at Presley-Fluker Funeral Chapel with Elder Robert J. McWilliams officiating. Burial followed at Old Springhill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
