On July 12, 18 scouts along with their dads or granddads enjoyed an afternoon of fishing together at API catfish ponds on the Jay Road in Brewton.
While the dads and daughters enjoyed some quality time together pulling in the big ones, the troop leaders were preparing supper for them. There were grilled hotdogs, sausage dogs, chips, cookies and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
There were a lot of smiling faces, young and old, as catfish were being pulled onto the banks of the ponds.
And even though a rainstorm did blow in, it moved out quickly allowing everyone to continue fishing and having fun.
We would like to say "Thank You" to Sandy and Billy Townsend for giving us the opportunity to offer this daddy/daughter event.
