Mr. Howard Cooper, 59, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Conecuh County and a long-time resident of Escambia County. He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Melissa Pettis Cooper of Brewton; two sons, Duke Cooper of Castleberry and Dustin McClellan of Brewton; two daughters, Becky Bennett and Lisa Salter, both of Evergreen; four brothers, Burns "Pete" Cooper, Dewey Cooper, Douglas Cooper and Malcolm Cooper, all of Brewton; one sister, Alma Martin of Castleberry and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing
