The Brewton YMCA will be the site of a M.A.S.H. unit on Thursday.
The themed site will be set up for a pre-Labor Day Blood drive of the Northwest Florida Blood Center.
The blood drive will be held from noon until 6 p.m. in the new gymnasium and will carry the M.A.S.H. theme. Everyone who registers to donate blood will receive a free t-shirt emblazoned with the M.A.S.H. logo.
To be eligible to donate blood a person must be at least 17 years of age, weight at least 110 pounds and be in general good health, according to officials.
The Northwest Florida Blood Center is a non-profit organization which supplies blood and blood products to 20 area hospitals including D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital in Brewton. The Blood Center needs to collect 175 pints of blood each day to keep up with the demand from local hospitals. The blood that is donated stays in the community helping local patients.
